It's not over until it's over. Given what little we know, I see
absolutely no reason to be pessimistic about the fate of the universe,
even if it *seems* inevitable now, until we've escaped the nova our sun
will probably eventually turn into...to say nothing of getting at least
a majority of humanity permanently off this rock.
