Correct, except that the 1000 lead by Gore occurred with only a few
counties finishing the recount so far. If the other counties hold
similar ratios, we would end up with over a 20,000 Gore lead in
Florida. Coincidentally, this matches the exit polling data which
caused the news networks to predict a 20,000 lead for Gore and
originally call the election for him.
