    Religion and culture are surely red herrings when looking for an
    explanation of varying economic output. I don't own anything made in
    Africa... and what do you conclude from the ubiquity of the phrase "Made
    in China"? Communism is good for increasing manufacturing output? No
    offense to economists, but I think our understanding of economics is
    about on par with our understanding of AI, or any other complex system.
