Ladies & Gentlemen,
It is with a lot of regret that I resign from this list. I did not at
first understand that Mike Lorry had been expelled -- I first misunderstood
and thought the discussion was over a proposed expulsion. I had faith that
calmer heads would see the folly of expelling Mike. Apparently my faith was
misplaced. In any case I do not wish to belong to a list that considers Mike
unacceptable.
For the rest of you. Sometimes our relationships were a little
tumultuous but they were never dull. I learned a lot from you and will always have
a warm place in my heart for you. You struck me as very intelligent, learned
and above all humane to one another.
