Right, looks like a storm gathering against us.
    Why?
Greenpeace is not a fringe luddite cult of unabomber fanatics. It is a smart and savvy cultural and political organization that has demonstrated the capability to influence poilcy choices worldwide.
The only explanation that I can see for their rallying against nanotechnology, artificial intelligence and robotics, is that they can see that these technologies can reach operational maturity sooner than expected, and make an impact bigger than expected.
This is good news. The bad news is that the enemy are gathering forces and establishing a strategy, with all the professional help they need. A fringe cult of sunday enthousiasts does not have any chance against that. I believe the ExI and the WTA should be very seriously thinking how to begin establishing a mainstream, professional and well organized cultural and political movement.
