I am in complete agreemant with Eliezer regarding
Tranquility Bay. Indeed, I am ashamed to have
    equivocated even for a moment.

Below is a copy of my request submitted to 'my' US
    senator from California.

I would encourage any of you who feel strongly about
this matter to take whatever steps you think might
    have an impact.

    Best, Jeff Davis

    Dear Senator Feinstein,

    I rarely--almost never--contact my state or federal
governmental representatives, but this is a matter of
such importance that I cannot stand around and wait
for someone else to deal with it.

This article tells of a place called Tranquility Bay,
which appears to me to be a for-profit Gulag for
    'defiant' children.

As described in the article, under circumstances where
there is apparently no independent oversight, children
who are US nationals (as well as other nationalities)
and who have committed no crime, are 'imprisoned' (at
the very least, confined against their will) and
denied access to legal counsel and appropriate medical
and psychiatric care of their own choosing. In these
circumstances they are then subjected to emotional
abuse so striking as to rise to the level of torture.

    Please look into this matter.

    Respectfully, Jeff Davis
