There is a very big plan to put offshore windmills on a shoal off of
Cape Cod (the Europeans are big on offshore windmills). It has raised
a lot of resistance with people with shorefront lots in the area
who feel it will interfere with the "natural" beauty of their view.
There are several other places where installation in mountain
passes noted for their beauty where people have resisted.

But it is interesting because Greenpeace is fairly strongly
in favor of them (at least in the Cape Cod case).

One could also argue that electricity producers who use coal
or gas turbines, or home solar energy panel producers would
    be losers as well.

    Robert
