    Newspapers and other media are fond of using less rigorous faux estimates.
    For example, an ice sheet the size of Rhode Island.

    Another group I frequent is Forteana where FUMs (Fortean units of
    measurement) appear from time to time. For example, a phenomenon
    as big as a battleship.
