China is an economic powerhouse of over a billion people, while Cuba is
a basketcase banana republic. Also, most Chinese American citizens'
ancestors came here before the revolution, while most Cuban Americans
    came here after theirs.

Sanctions are over, we just haven't established diplomatic relations
beyond the consular level or given them any preferential trading
    status.

Yes, primarily because, despite the fundamentalist propaganda, their
culture was influenced by us for so long, and their demographics got so
screwed up by the Iran/Iraq War, that they can't help but have lots of
    public attraction to US culture.

No debate there. I am of the opinion that China is the real threat in
the world today and in the future, and if you've followed my posts on
China in the past on this list, you would see I've consistently felt
that way. Iraq, al Qaeda, Pakistan, among others, are simply being
enabled by China whose military establishment takes it as unavoidable
that they will have a global war with the US within the next 50 years.
Everything they do, therefore, is meant to weaken us diplomatically,
    economically, militarily, etc.
China sees the muslim world as a bunch of 'useful idiots' to temper and
enfragile us with prior to the day when they will have to confront us.
