Due to a number of factors (slow economy etc) I've had a lot of "time on my
hands" lately and have even gone so far ( ewwwwww) as to actually watch some
    TV.

Not the "shows" minds you....I'm not that far gone yet...rather watch garbage
rot....but the so so called "news" programs. A bit.....

One of my long standing "theories" has been confirmed.....again.

That is......the "news" media care nothing about informing the
public.....their goal is "re-forming" the public....their apparent purpose
    is to mold public opinion.

I acquired this notion decades ago during the Viet Nam thing when what I was
seeing first hand in South East Asia didn't match what I was seeing second
    hand on the tube......

The latest bit of data that bolsters my theory ..........

Former President Clinton gave a speech yesterday at the Erwin Center here in
Austin Texas. There was quiet a respectable number of protesters. It seems
that a few folks blame Clinton for the current mess....

This was give VERY LITTLE coverage on the "media"....in fact I was made aware
of it mostly via word of mouth and local radio.

HOWEVER.........war protestors? I hear lots and lots of war
protestors.....a whole hour was devoted to an "interview" for example....
