My guess is that whether you label someone transhumanist, or extropian, or 27th degree mason; some kluxers will always attempt to highjack said movement. This is true even if they have nothing essentially to do with any futuristic philopsophy. I also disagree with Anders Sandburg (stated in another post) that transhumanism is a religion. Its an ideology, perhaps, but it doesn't seem to be a religion. Got rituals? :-)

I was thinking about the idea of new holidays, here's one that came to mind:

Tux Day: On this day, a celebration of cooperative spirit, you give coworkers, acquaintances, etc. small stuffed penguins. Don't tell them why though, just say its because it's tux day. Mark tux day on your office's calendar.

watch how after a couple years, people start giving each other penguins w/out even knowing what tux day stands for...
