IAN: Logical points. If one does not like the threads, there are
two easy things to do, 1) delete them, 2) offer some alternatives.
The least appropriate, it seems to me, is to complain to the list,
in effect acting as some kind of authority telling people: "Stop
talking about what you all want to talk about and start talking
about I want to talk about."

The two options enumerated are free-market approaches, the latter
inappropriate approach is an authoritarian regulator approach.
No insult intended, that's just how I see it.
