It's been pretty well discredited as prejudice conjecture and pure nonsense but for whatever it's worth the most famous study of this sort was done by Dr. Catherine Morris Cox about 50 years ago. She gave Goethe top marks with an IQ of 210, Newton only got 190 the same as Voltaire, and Galileo a measly 185. Leonardo DaVinci got 180 and Napoleon 145. Personally I wish I had an IQ of 105 because then according to Cox I'd be the equal of astronomer Nicolas Copernicus and the greatest experimental physicist of all time Michael Faraday. Sort of makes you wonder what Cox's IQ was.
