My basic position on this is that no one, and particularly not the government, should have the power to kill an individual under the auspices of the law. The primary reason being that I have a serious problem with surrendering control of my life to any other self-interested party.

However, I have no problem with using lethal force in self-defense, for the same reason mentioned above.
