I'd like to speculate a moment.
I've heard of implanting electrodes in the brain...famous studies about what
rats do to self stimulate their own pleasure center....
I've also heard of a direct neural interface....of a sort....very
preliminary
as of a month or so ago...which allows a direct conntection of an electronic
circuit to a nerve...still in lab stages though...
And I've NEVER heard of someone having brain surgery without being aware of
it...doesn't seem reasonable.
