I don't want to U.N. to have more power, in fact the exact
opposite.
But the sort of new beginning Afghanistan is going to need the U.N.
is perfect for.
A giant torpid bureaucracy, they'll be arguing the finer points for
years. Just the thing to induce the sluggishness Afghanistan is
going to need for awhile.
Like pouring mollasses over the whole country.
