If this war results in a happier, freer, more prosperous Afghanistan that would
be really great but that's not it's primary purpose, or at least it shouldn't be.
The purpose of this war is more narrow, it is to stop Afghanistan from being a
base of operations for terrorists who want to kill Americans. We should keep this
in mind to prevent mission creep because we can't solve all the worlds problems
and shouldn't try, but we can solve some.
