Some books that showed up on my Amazon recomendations list
recently (not that I have read them, but I think comments
by people who may have read them would be useful):
The Problem of Trust by Adam B. Seligman
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0691050201/
- Seems to explore in more detail what Fukayama calls "trust".
The Lucifer Principle : A Scientific Expedition into the Forces
of History by Howard K. Bloom
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0871136643/
- Seems to take on the manipulative or irrational sources of
Hinduism and Islam (perhaps ignoring Christianity in the process).
Superhuman: The Awesome Power Within (BBC)
by Robert Winston, Lori Oliwentstein, Lori Oliwenstein
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0789468271/
- Based on the BBC special, exploring the regenerative powers
of the human body as well as current treatments that may
be mistreatments from an educated perspective.
If anyone has read these and would like to offer comments,
I for one would be interested.
Robert
