Apparently not, I was quoting from memory, however I got the substance exactly correct.
In fact this ass said things even more insensitive, stupid and full of blame for the victim.
While the fires were still burning he called the horror at the WTC

"a gift to the hard jingoist right, those who hope to use force to control their domains"

He expressed his sympathy to the friends and relatives of the dead by saying this:

"In terms of number of victims they do not reach the level of many others, for
example, Clinton's bombing of the Sudan with no credible pretext, destroying
half its pharmaceutical supplies and probably killing tens of thousands of people

Then this knowledgeable master of international relations had this to say:

"the U.S. has demanded that Pakistan kill possibly millions of people who are
themselves victims of the Taliban. This has nothing to do even with revenge.
It is at a far lower moral level even than that."

I have no doubt this mental midget spews similar hyperbolic crap in his most recent
article but I've read enough and no sir, I do not feel badly that I got the quote wrong,
I don't feel badly at all.
