The amygdala is part of the limbic system, and other parts are likely even more relevant to violence. Especially parts of the hypothalamus have been shown to coordinate aggression behaviors (there different parts that can activate rage or cold-blooded killing). I suggest looking up neuropsychology textbooks, they often have a chapter on the neuropsychology of aggression.
