My friend Michael Dougan (Seattle-based cartoonist, humorist and general renaissance man -- www.michaeldougan.com) just sent me his "extropian translation of the lord's prayer". It cracked me up, so I thought I'd send it along to the list:

> Our Father which art on earth, human be thy name. Thy kingdom come thy

> kingdom go, on earth as it will be in heaven when we get around to
> colonizing it. Give us this day our essential liberty, and forgive us
> our late payments as we try to forgive those who don't pay us on time,
> either. Protect me not from myself, but deliver me from those who claim
> to protect me. For thine is the freedom, the optimism, and the future,
> and hurry. Amen.
