Going through? The phase is almost over, in my view. Or, at least, graphics/gadgets have been the norm for years, especially with people putting up new pages.

It's a matter of developing good taste, I think, as opposed to flashiness for the sake of flashiness. It's like the difference, to me, between _2001: A Space Odyssey_ and _The Fifth Element_.
