In the ancient days of a paper Extropy, Max once asked for recommendations of
"Extropian Music". Similar to the trance music of Glass [for late night
programming trances...] is Terry Reily ["Yeveux Ferme" (spelling of french???? for closed eyes), and "Rainbow in curved air" come to mind. Of course there is Fripp and Eno, "Evening Star" and "No Pussyfooting" are pioneering works of ambient drone power.
