I think we need to consider dick size. Speaking very generally, Asians =
small dicks, Europeans = medium size dicks, Africans = big dicks. The
Asian approach (speaking generally) is 'You're not going anywhere! I'm
binding your feet'. This meme continues thru manga and anime where the
girls all have big eyes and small mouths, as if constantly signaling:
'It's so big!!! I can't fit it in my mouth!!!'.
The African approach might be 'You're gonna miss this. You'll be back,
honey'. Only western culture, caught between these two extremes,
realized they had to do something else, which is why women are treated
much more equally in the West.
Or something like that.
