The poisoned rhetoric keeps tumbling from journalists when cloning news is
reported. Last night on the Aussie ABC news I learned that the Italian
reproductive physician Dr Zavos had `admitted' that he plans to go ahead
soon with his attempt to clone a human being. The default assumption of
wickedness or even crime is breathtaking, but only if you notice it.
Strangely, though, I don't expect to hear soon that Don DeLillo `admitted'
that he plans to release a new novel, or even that surgeons at the local
cardiac or cancer wards `admitted' to preparing for heart transplants or
chemotherapy.
