IAN: Lon White's study is a subset of a longitudinal
heart study conducted by the Honolulu Heart Program
that was "established in 1965 for research on heart
disease and stroke. Questions regarding frequency of
consumption of tofu and 26 other foods were asked at
interviews in 1965-67 and again in 1971-74." [*] Dr
White et al, published several papers on the data set
acquired from that study not at all related to tofu,
and that data is available to be retested. Dr White's
study from that same data set on Alzheimer rates of
Japanese American's versus Japanese is seen cited
in various Alzheimer-research papers. That study
of White's was published in the Journal of
the American Medical Association:

Abbot RD, et al. (1996) Prevalence of dementia in older
Japanese-American men in Hawaii. JAMA, 276, 955-960.
I believe White's study is not an anti-soy hit.
