The amount of actual spam received (as opposed to
'noisy posts' ;) is miniscule. I can always identify
and ignore these just from the sender & subject
without having to read the message.
By going to subscribers-only posts you'd be cutting
out occasional posts from people, like Robin Hanson,
who may read the list indirectly or through the
archives.
