I suspect this is actually the nervous "giggle" reflexively produced by the
future vision of the scientific feudal system falling apart.. It is not that
*all* nanoscale science has been done, it is that *enough* has been done to
get going. Once it does get going, industry will be off the starting blocks
and charging for the product finish lines. Those not in the race, will watch
it pass by.
