Well sort of... According to this article:

the Earth will spiral outward as the sun ages and
begins to lose mass. This allows it to escape being
burned up in the sun.
Of course if we have any cajones we will have dismantled
the inner planets long before the sun reaches that stage.
For that matter if we pull off star lifting the sun will
never evolve this way either. Wonder how long before our
"preferred" explanation makes it into the "astronomy textbooks"...
