I just build 'em & ground test 'em, our "famous test pilot" (I can't
tell ya who he is just yet) will do the flying... at least until we can
build a >1 seat aircraft.

Actually, when I was taking flying lessons, my instructor complained
that I didn't have to dive-bomb the runway- I was too accustomed to the
steep 3:1 glide ratio of ram-air wings :) Scared him, I did.

When I worked at Vela Technology, Pat Kelley told me that all engineers
would be *required* to fly at least once aboard the subobital plane.
"Please don't throw me in the briar patch," I replied. Hell, I don't
just want to ride, I'd love to get out at apogee- hitting mach four from
100 km, wearing a spacesuit... yeehah!
