My daughter brought home a question from middle school: Since every so
often we use the metaphor, '--- on a pinhead', what exactly is the diameter
(in atoms) on the head of the (sewing, etc.) pin, such as the ones found at
home when you accidentally puncture yourself with said head? Jeez, I was
stumped at that, and also am interested!
