I think there's two main reasons for this. The UK is very expensive,
particularly if you live in London, so if you want to spend a weekend out on
the lash it is actually cheaper to go to places like Prague. Also, there's
the well known phenomenon of being less inhibited in a strange place.
Having said that, it looks as though the British are reverting to their
historical stereotype (which applied until about 1970) - crazy, aggressive
and belligerent, drunken, boorish, and randy. I had to laugh at the
reference to fights breaking out when parties from Leeds, Manchester, and
Birmingham found themselves in the same establishment while being supporters
of their local teams - that's asking for trouble! The ones from Manchester
can't have been Man United fans that's for sure.
