##Well of course I don't want to do that. But are you taking the
position that you would prefer to see 10 million South Korean citizens die before
you would use whatever means were at your disposal to do so? I don't take
that position and I don't think any responsible government of the US would do so
either.
RH said, "North Korean can be told we have the means of eliminating you and
your weapons without suffering undue hardship ourselves."
and John replied, "You can tell them that but it would be untrue and they're
not dumb, they know it's untrue."
## I think we are suggesting that the US should assume a position of
self imposed impotence. Of course we can do exactly what I have said.
Stepping back from that position we can certainly pose a sufficiently plausible
threat that makes everyone from North Korean Generals on down decide that
supporting a suicidal dictator is not a good idea. The North Korean Dictator is in a
tough spot. Every dictator from Hitler down to Sadaam have seen their Generals
betray them when the crunch came.
