This is not what we are talking about. We are talking about personal
attacks, not criticism of ideas. Criticism of ideas is not only inevitable
on this list, but it is encouraged!

Yes, we most certainly can put these flame war behind us. We have put
flame-wars behind us every few months for the last ten years. Eventually,
many of the old-timers get tired of putting flame-wars behind us.
Eventually, we start wondering why the same problems keep occurring over and
over. Instead of ignoring problems, eventually we might actually try to fix
some of them.
