I am quite certain the word "invulnerable" was never used because ICBM's
don't need to be perfect, it's Star Wars defense that needs to be perfect or
it's not worth building. And it's obvious that if the Laser could cause a
unexpected increase in the temperature of the liquid oxygen tank of a ICBM
of just a degree or two it could destroy it, but a similar increase in the
temperature of the solid fuel in a ICBM would have no effect.
