Yes, it does, about like a human being exhaling CO2 to attract
mosquitos, but having these hands, with much greater angular velocity,
swatting them out of the air as they draw near. Gravity may attract
them, but the moon is one giant flyswatter, and moves through a far
greater volume of space than we do. We still get stung occasionally,
but not nearly as often as we would if we didn't have any arms.
