On the on-line poll for additional topics (bmj.com) transhumanists might
suggest "Good death=death with a possibility of parole (cryonics)" "Death
that preserves continuity of consciousness (uploading)" "Death delayed as
long as possible (life extension)" and "Death free from the Drug War (access
to narcotics)". - J.

Dear Colleagues,
The BMJ is publishing a special issue on A Good Death on 26 July 2003. I am
the guest editor (peter.singer@utoronto.ca), and Jocalyn Clark
(jclark@bmj.com) is the in house editor.
We invite you to
1. Submit a rapid response in the next few days on bmj.com to previously
published BMJ articles on death and dying. The letters to be published in
the Good Death print version of BMJ on 26 July will be selected from these
rapid responses. Here are three recently published articles:

"good death" is possible in the NHS by John Ellershaw, Chris Ward, and Rabbi
Julia Neuberger
