Having an aerogel blanket (approx 10 sq ft) I can attest that this is
not something you would want to sleep under. While it is light and
fluffy, and only 1/4" thick, it is a little *too* insulative to be used
as a blanket (~0.011W/m.K). I currently use it to hold cherry red hot
steel to bend to my will.
