    Is this the same Thomas Gold famous for his "deep earth gas" hypothesis?
    The one who said that oil didn't come from decomposing dinosaurs, but
    rather arose naturally from deep within the earth?

    Maybe they've got two Thomas Golds? Or else this guy has been retired
    a little too long. His paper is full of errors. See
