    Good Morning boys and girls,

Some days back, in the Iraq: Real reasons thread,
Michael Wiik recommended the following link

    http://www.mises.org/fullstory.asp?control=1245

I found it very persuasive, but more to the point,
very resonant. So I book-marked both the von Mises
    and the Lew Rockwell site.

At the Rockwell site I found two articles that I would
like to bring to your attention.

    The lesser of the two:

Is It a Crime To Breastfeed?
    by Scott McPherson

    http://www.mises.org/fullstory.asp?control=1245

is a piece similar to Spike's "only in taxifornia".

    http://www.extropy.org/exi-lists/extropians/0305/7644.html

and, were it a separate post, might be titled, "only
in Oklahoma...or maybe Kansas". Read this one if you
have some time to waste, and wish to smile yet again
    at the follies of man.

    The other

    Neoconservatism: a CIA Front?
    http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/pavlik2.html

prompts an inquiry for the list.

I have long held the cia to be the premier
anti-democratic agent on the planet. I'm no fan. But
until now, I had not been aware of the (alleged in the
above piece) extent of their intrusion/direct
sponsorship of print journalism. As I am less likely
to be alert in my skepticism of this material, I was
hoping someone from another camp (more ideological
neutral/indifferent) might help me with a second
    opinion.

A link will do, as I do not wish to impose on those
who have responsibilities, ie, a real life. (I am
myself "retired". The quotes denote my own particular
shade of meaning, to wit, I was born retired.)

    Best, Jeff Davis
