Yes, it is true. The singularity occured yesterday for me, and I now
completely living in the future.

BTW, I was thinking of mailing this list about the event, but then I
thought I should make a little experiment and see how long it took for
the information to arrive on its own. The answer from the date field in
Jay's post seems to be that it arrived one hour before the
announcement. Those little birds certainly cross the atlantic fast!
(seriously, even taking the timezones into account it was speedy - four
