           The Sufi believe the well developed person is developed in body, mind
    and emotion or soul. They believe it is a mistake to be only a scholar,
    athlete or mystic. The problem with that formulation as I understand it is that
    the soul includes the understanding of oneself as well as others. I can't
    understand why it should do so.
