It can be a difficult call whether or not to respond
at all, because, as you say, it can be difficult for
one to respond without engaging in counter-charges or
further personal attacks.
Question: Are you suggesting or do you suggest
that no one ever issue the accusation "You are
engaging in X", where X is against the list rules?
(Your suggestion, of course, is quite different from
saying that something is against the list rules.)
Question: Are you saying that if someone believes
he or she has been attacked, then it would be
against the list rules to respond?
I would appreciate very much if it is possible to
give a Yes or No answer to those two questions, and
only then add explanation---for the sake of clarity.
For me, the issue is still freedom of speech on
Extropians.
