On a related note, the Pentagon's LifeLog wearable automated diarist
project involves none other than wearable pioneer Dr. Mann, who we've
all seen in action before. While some look suspiciously at the LifeLog
project, I beleive the purpose of this is simply to equip soldiers with
the technology for several benign purposes: i.e. a training tool so
that trainers can track the actions of their students, a health
monitoring tool to maintain optimum healt of the unit as a whole, and
most importantly, to create a permanent and well detailed record of a
soldiers actions in combat to protect him or her from unfounded
left-wing accusations of war crimes (a LifeLog equippped soldier will
be more likely to obey them as well).
