Mark,
I read what you said with great interest. If you look in Leo Strauss'
Natural Law and History in his introduction he describes the source of
natural law.
Briefly it derives from our natural needs and rationality. That I
suppose requires reason and logic.
As such it does not proceed directly from any supernational source in
Doctor Strauss' opinion.
However as it requires reason and logic to discern it does not follow
that every barbarian, lunatic and evil minded person in history will agree on
a given body of natural law or even that it has been fully developed to date.
