Yes, that is the wonder of growing up. One becomes both more ambitious
and realistic. The trick is to keep growing up forever (which I guess is
at the core of both our research interests).
As for Greg, he seems to be a smart kid but usually kid geniuses don't
pan out (there are a few exceptions like Thomas Young). The real trick
to being a prodigy seems to create one's own learning environment and
motivation provided by parents and institutions will eventually fail.
