    here? That guns don't make a civil war a slam-dunk?

    BTW, "resist" != "overthrow". And the expression "strong gun culture" is a
    very peculiar one. Whee did you get it, pray? From any of the people who
    resisted in Iraq in 1991 and were slaughtered by the "strong gun culture"
    of the Baathists?

    Check out the "strong machete cultures" in Equatorial Africa some time.
