Carbon nanotubes have an unusually interesting array of properties,
including great mechanical strengths for molecules that can be microns or
even meters long, and electronic properties that include the ability to be
either a conductor or a semi-
conductor, depending upon the chirality of the molecule. So they are very
interesting candidates for molecular circuits.
