    Chagas disease is a parasitic wasting that attacks the heart lining, the
    esophagus, and the colon. The 'kissing bug' is the vector. I've been
    denied giving blood for one year after working in South Korea and now
    after my recent trip to Thailand. The alleged reason is malaria.
