Anyone who is really into electronics experimentation
in the OC area Monday might want to check this out.
This place used to be the main West Coast center for
service of a lot of older electronics display
technology. The owner died and they are dumping
everything for a song. Monday may be the last day.
There are all kinds of test equipment, projectors,
etc. that originally filled several large industrial
units. I got a big opaque projector for $2, a box of
video tape for free, and an 800 Watt industrial use
halogen light with integrated cooling fan in new
condition for $2. There is literally tons of stuff
which is destined for the trash if not sold.

They are at 2413 S. Broadway, as best I recall, in
    Santa Ana. 714-979-0400.
